There are three main ways to supply bags for cross-belt sorter: automatic bag supply, manual semi-automatic bag supply and manual bag supply.
1. Automatic package supply
The automatic package supply system consists of a package supply control computer, a plurality of wrapping belts, an AC motor, a dynamic weight scale, a photoelectric position detection switch, a light curtain and a bar code reader. The package supply control computer controls the frequency converter and AC motor to rotate the package supply belt, and accurately delivers the package to the sorting trolley. The weight dynamic scale, photoelectric detection switch and light curtain measure the weight and position of the package respectively, and collect these data so that the package can be wrapped accurately.
2. Semi-automatic package supply by workers
The manual semi-automatic package supply system is composed of an automatic package supply platform and a manual delivery station, which can be divided into two ways: single-station delivery and double-station delivery according to the form of manual delivery station.
3. Manual package supply
Manual package supply means that the operator puts the package label face up and directly puts it in the center of the sorting trolley to complete the package supply. The efficiency of manual package supply is affected by the speed of operation by the operator and the idle degree of the online car. Usually, the working efficiency of a single person is 1400 packages/hour. Due to manual thread-feeding, the trolley cannot run too fast, and the upper limit of speed is 1.6m/s, which will affect the overall efficiency of the sorter.
