What factors will affect the sorting efficiency of the balance wheel sorter?
Category:Technical InformationDate:2024-07-30

The following are some factors that may affect the sorting efficiency of the balance wheel sorter:

1. Package characteristics:

-Parcel size and shape: Parcels with irregular shape or too large or too small size may cause jamming or obstruction during transportation, which will affect the sorting speed. For example, a package that is too long or too wide may not pass through the balance channel smoothly.

-Package weight: An overweight package may increase the burden on the balance wheel, which may slow down the running speed and even damage the equipment.

-Package packaging materials: Some smooth or easy-to-slide packaging materials may cause the package to shift in the sorting process, which will affect the accuracy and efficiency.

2. Equipment parameters and performance:

-Rotating speed of balance wheel: If the rotating speed is too low, the sorting speed will be directly reduced.

-Balance wheel spacing: Unreasonable spacing setting may lead to package blockage or inaccurate sorting.

-Stability and reliability of equipment: frequent failures or maintenance will interrupt the sorting work and reduce the overall efficiency.

3. Control system and software:

-Accuracy of algorithm: Inaccurate sorting control algorithm may lead to wrong sorting or repeated sorting, which needs to be re-processed and wastes time.

-System response speed: If the response of the control system to the input information is slow, the sorting action will be delayed.

4. Input and output flow:

-Excessive package input: it exceeds the handling capacity of the balance wheel sorting machine, causing congestion and unable to sort in time.

-Insufficient processing capacity at the output end: for example, the subsequent transportation equipment can't keep up with the sorting speed, which leads to the accumulation of sorted packages and affects the overall process.

5. Working environment:

-Temperature and humidity: Extreme temperature and humidity conditions may affect the performance of electronic components and mechanical parts of the equipment and reduce the sorting efficiency.

-Dust and sundries: Dust and sundries in the working environment may enter the equipment and affect the normal operation of mechanical parts.

6. Personnel operation and maintenance:

-Skill level of operators: unskilled operators may not give full play to the performance of the equipment, or operational errors may lead to equipment failure.

-Timeliness and quality of maintenance: if effective maintenance is not carried out regularly, the wear and aging of equipment will gradually reduce its working efficiency.
